Senior Office bearers of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, Engr. M. Haseeb Khan Chairman PPMA North, Uzair Nagra and stake holders of Health care and Pharmaceuticals Industry were present.
Guest of honor was Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Chief Guest was CEO DRAP (Drug regulatory Authority of Pakistan) Shaikh Akhter Hussain who inaugurated 14th Health Asia Exhibition.
Guests visited the exhibition arena setup by Industry professionals with Innovative Products and Solutions. While visiting PHARMA TRAX booth and seeming live demonstration of Pharma Trax innovative Solutions to enable Pharmaceuticals Traceability based on 2D data matrix Barcodes using GS1 Healthcare Standards.

Delegates appreciated the much needed digitization and Transformation needed in Pakistan’s Health Care System and applauded ZAUQ GROUP’s initiatives to provide international standards for Pakistan market for a smarter healthcare eco-system with Training and Consulting Support.
Rizwan Buttar Chief Innovation officer of PHARMATRAX demonstrated the functionalities of serialization and barcoding solution to have a safe Supply Chain system in healthcare sector. PHARMA TRAX Pro Line, Cloud, mobile Apps, Supply Chain interaction tools gathered interest of lots of visitors which showed keen interest in adopting these standards.
Video Case studies of adoption of such solutions and its benefits achieved by Brookes Pharma, Getz Pharma, Bosch Pharma, Martin Dow, Novartis, Next Pharma, Barret Hodgson and Macter International were presented to viewers and Audio Visual presentations helped to understand.
Punjab Government’s Adoption of Bar-code based Serialization system had been instrumental in solving complex trace-ability issues and to have an effective recall process in place.
Many stake holders signed up including but not limited to Seattle Pharma, Martin Dow Marker, Roche and Merck’s Pakistan partners. Additional orders were confirmed from existing customers like Bosch Pharmaceuticals and Next Pharmaceuticals.
A new traceability product was officially launched for medical devices which has already being used by Iqbal & Co, Teleflex USA, Intra Health, Antiseptica Germany, WEIFANG KAWA MEDICAL, Ditto Ltd UK, and JMS SINGAPORE.
Event was concluded with a vision to create a digitally connected platform for all stake holders; including but not limited to Manufacturers, Transporters, Distributors, Warehouses, Pharmacies, Hospitals, Consumers and Regulators to be able to access relevant information against drugs in the market supply.
